GES Staff at Agona West undertake clean-up exercise

Staff of the Ghana Education Service Agona West Municipal Directorate at the weekend undertook a five-hour clean up exercise around the environs of the office to maintain a healthy environment.
The staff de-stilted choked gutters, weeded around the environs of the office and cleaned the louvres and walls of the Education Office.

The exercise is in support of the National Sanitation Day exercise aimed at maintaining a healthy environment.

Work on Swedru Akora River drainage project stalls

Construction work on the 2.4-kilometre Swedru Akora River drainage project has stalled for the past two years, apparently as a result of lack of funds.

Las Adventuras Company Limited, the construction company working on the project, abandoned the site in 2016 and has since not returned to the project site to complete the project which is intended to address the perennial flooding at Agona Swedru.
